How long can we remain silent in the face of violence? The play The School of Gloria Lujanovic brings a powerful and emotionally demanding story of growing up marked by school violence, the silence of the system and the feeling of not belonging. Through the confession of a young girl, the play opens a space for dealing with violence among young people and its consequences. What happens in the school environment does not remain just a problem of the individual – it becomes a question of the responsibility of the entire community. Who needs to react? What happens when adults don't want to see or hear what's happening in front of them? And how much can the silence of those who observe contribute to the continuation of violence? The school does not offer simple solutions or ready-made answers. Instead, it confronts the audience with the victim's experience and invites them to reconsider their own role – as a student, parent, teacher, friend or witness. In a powerful performance by Rebecca Aleksic, the play tells an intimate story that at the same time speaks of wider social responsibility. Silence, ignoring and shifting responsibility become as important as violence itself. The play was created as part of the RAVEN Theatre program for young audiences, but its themes transcend age limits. School is an invitation to talk and a reminder that change begins when someone dares to speak up. Played by: Rebecca Aleksić Director: Krešimir Dolenčić According to the text: Glorija Lujanović Adaptation for theatre: Miro Gavran
