On Friday, August 14, in the church of St. Juraj in Pag opens the first solo exhibition of photographs "Island of Hope" by Katica Mustapić. The exhibition has a humanitarian character. In collaboration with Mary's Meals during the opening, visitors will be able to donate to photos and thus provide meals to children in the most underdeveloped parts of the world. As an active member of the Photo Club Pag, Katica Mustapić has been participating in joint exhibitions and projects for years. the natural and cultural heritage of the island is promoted. Her works regularly represent Pag and Zadar County at prestigious photographic events, confirming the quality and recognizability of her authorial manuscript. Her work was also recognized by the local community, so she promoted the island through photography in 2023. received public recognition from the City of Pag The first solo exhibition of Katica Mustapić represents a natural continuation of many years of dedicated work and artistic maturation. It brings together photos that are not only a record of the beauty of a space, but also a personal look of the author who knows Pag from the inside – through its mornings and infidelities, silence and storm, stone and sea. Katica finds her inspiration for photographs on the island of Pag, which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for her. In the photographic world of Katica Mustapić, nature is not just a motive, but an interlocutor. Her photographs emerge from a deep knowledge of the island of Pag, its phases, light, bora, sea and stone, transforming everyday scenes into impressive visual testimonies of space and time.
