Malta, Germany, Qatar 2026 108 mins A young girl, Mar, plans to sell the land she inherited after the death of her estranged mother and leave Malta for good. Traveling the island to locate three plots of land, she meets 80-year-old Nenu, a traditional Maltese folk singer whose unruly spirit fascinates Mar. As the duo spends time together, the links between past and present become entwined, and Mar gradually changes his view of home, rethinking his plans to flee Malta. Director Alex Camilleri's new film ("Luzzu", FMFS 2021) features music performed by veteran Maltese folk singer Nenu Borg, for the first time on screen, and is joined by talented actress Michel Farrugia.
